The Mining Association of B.C. (MABC) is the voice of mining in British Columbia, speaking on behalf of operating coal, metal and industrial mineral producers, as well as advanced development companies in the province. Their mandate is to encourage the safe development and operation of mining and related facilities across British Columbia. MABC’s members are some of this province’s most iconic operating companies that were started, and continue to be headquartered, in the province of B.C. Our forty-plus member companies directly employ thousands of British Columbians and indirectly support thousands of supplier and support jobs in every region of the province. B.C. has a global reputation as a leading jurisdiction for mining with rich, diverse mineral deposits in every corner of the province; copper, coal, zinc, silver, gold, lead and molybdenum are the primary minerals mined in the province.
